Mens Summer Hairstyle Inspiration

When looking for a summer hairstyle inspiration its easy to just google a celebs hairstyle and go from there. The catch is you can't always get that look you find online. The reason being, not all hairs are alike. Some may have thick, thin, curly, or wavy hair. Unless your are willing to denature your hair with a hair straightener, dryer, or curler even then the possibilities are slim. So its important to look for the correct inspiration that will work with your hair and so forth. For instance, if you decide to go with a David Beckham hairstyle and you have curly or wavy hair, you may have to look into Orlando Bloom or Harry Styles for inspiration since they have a similar hair like you.
I have included 4 current inspirational hairstyles that I am looking at for this summer and I hope you can find an inspirational hairstyle from these photos!

Summer Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie with Carmel and Sea Salt

So I don't think its a given that we all have a sweet tooth when it comes to dessert! This mouthwaterting deep dish chocolate chip cookie with CARMEL and sea salt is to die for! Just looking at these photos is making me drool all over again! So don't be shy to use the recipe attached below, created by the creative food blogger pinchofyum

  • 17 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2¾ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks (I chopped up a large piece of Scharffen Berger chocolate - yum)
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup caramel pieces (like this)
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • coarse sea salt to taste
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree. Soften the 9 tablespoons butter in the microwave for 30 seconds or until partially melted. Soften the remaining 8 tablespoons for 10 seconds or until you can make an indent with your finger.
  2. Mix the butter and sugar together with an electric mixer until creamed. Add the vanilla and maple syrup and mix again until smooth. Add the eggs; beat slowly until incorporated. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt (sometimes it helps to add the flour in batches). Mix until a smooth dough forms. The dough should feel dry to the touch - if it sticks to your hands, add a few more tablespoons of flour. I generally try to err on the side of more flour. Stir in the chocolate chips and chocolate chunks. Melt the caramel pieces and heavy cream in the microwave for 2 minutes. Stir well until melted and smooth.
  3. Press half of the dough mixture into a 9-inch or larger cast iron skillet lined with parchment paper. Pour the caramel over the dough and smooth with a spoon. Cover with another layer of cookie dough. Bake for 15-25 minutes (see notes). Remove from oven, sprinkle with sea salt, and allow to rest for at least one hour in order for the pieces to hold their shape when cut.
I baked mine uncovered for 15 minutes, but you could also cover with foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes to get the cookie center baked even further. If you only bake for 15 minutes total, like I did, the cookie WILL be underbaked. Cause that's how we like it.

Serves: 8-12 huge slices, but appropriate servings would be more like 20+

Chic City Grunge

I decided to go roaming through charlotte downtown with my photographer friend and when we discovered a rundown barber shop with this beautiful white brick wall, I instantly knew this was the perfect area to take photos. If any of you follow me on Instagram, Instagram you know my theme is white/light blue colors, so I enjoyed being able to add this perfect color scheme to my Instagram feed.

For a little while, I've been looking for a pilot coat pilot coat and luckily ran across one while I was randomly shopping at H&M. This coat has a grungy feel and the simple cut compliments the printed tee really well. I added a pair of gray biker jeans. These jeans are something I haven't tried before and I have to say they bring out such a great and sharp look to the outfit that I wouldn't mind adding a few more pairs into my closet! These clear plastic shades plastic sunglasses with tinted lenses added a little 90s to the outfit without being overwhelming. I pulled the look together with a black watch from a brand out in Australia called Uncle Jack Watches.

Overall, this shoot was a great success since when my photographer and I met up, the sun was past golden hour and was about about to set in 10 minutes. With only having such a small timeframe in which to shoot, I was glad to squeeze these great shots in before the sun set.

Opening up to the Internet

Putting yourself out on the Internet is something that everyone can easily do. When doing so, you have to understand that once you've committed yourself to uploading online, there's no going back. Every picture you post, video you upload, or blog you write, is being judged by a reader or watcher. Judging is a natural instinct that comes to us. We judge a person in less than two seconds of meeting them. It's easier to write your honest opinion behind a keyboard and screen. Most likely they will share their opinion on your video, Instagram post, or blog in a good or bad way so putting yourself out on the Internet is something that you have to be ready to accept your audiences opinion on whatever if may be that you post.

When I decided to start blogging, I had some doubts. At first I couldn't take quality photos or write blog posts, or even make videos about myself without some struggle. All of that took some time to prepare for. But I loved the idea of posting pictures on Instagram because I discovered a love of photography and I wanted to share it. Over time I decided to start taking photos of myself and great things started to happen. I then decided to try out for modeling but was declined because I wasn't of height. Scrolling through Instagram one day, I discovered a menswear blogger called IMGALLA and was intrigued how he had a profile of him modeling literally for himself and brands as his sponsors. I began to look deeper into blogging and decided to start my very own blog. At first things where hard because I didn't know where to start, but after a while I started to understand the blogging world and from there things then shot off.

All of this took effect within a year and I clearly had no idea what I was getting into, but I was blown away by how I was abled to open up and let my audience observe and keep up with my daily life. I am still amazed on how I have so obviously changed, and in a great way. I am glad I made that decision to post that first Instagram photo.

How to Look Effortlessly Cool

What's more effortlessly cool than a jersey and your favorite pair of jeans? And it's even better when your pants have that perfect, worn-in softness you've been aiming for with ever wash. When you find out what's better than that, let me know.

This classic combination worn to a game is made instantly everyday friendly in a sleek black with hints of white for added interest. Slip on a favorite pair of shades and simple leather watch and you're ready for a day at the park to play with smoke bombs or cruise through the twinkling lights of the downtown cafes at dusk.

It's just as comfortable to lounge around in on a slow and rainy afternoon without having to worry about any responsibilities. Let them all blow away like smoke in the wind. Chill out.

More Issues Than Vogue

When trying to make a statement with your appearance, you have to make sure you can pull off whatever look you're wearing by having confidence. It's not always easy, but if you're determined, people notice and get inspired. It's called being different, standing out from the rest of the crowd.

In order to pull off anything with confidence, you have to be capable of going outside of your comfort zone and not be afraid of trying something that you haven't before. When doing so, if the look works for you, you not only feel great, but also discover a new part of yourself.

Next time you see a piece of clothing that drives you to buy it, go outside your comfort zone and give it a try. You never know the outcome, it may start a new chapter in your life.
